Take your camera everywhere!

I've realized that carrying my camera in my purse is a real advantage. You don't know when a great opportunity will come up, so it's better to be prepared! Shots like this may not have been taken if I'd left my camera at home:

The greatness of underexposure

The secret to making the colors in the sky stand out more than they actually do is underexpose. My camera is not so great so I can't underexpose much, but even that much, as you can see, can turn a picture like this:

Into this:

Pretty cool, huh?

Change is good

I have a weird fascination with the sun, flowers (particularly roses), and water of any kind. Once in a while, though, I get away from these subjects and take pictures of other things. You should not concentrate on only one thing, either, rather try to stretch yourself by looking for new, creative photos you can take.

Amazing pictures can come out!

Close-ups

For my close-ups I like to use the macro settings. On my camera this is pretty decent, but today I was using someone else's and it left a lot to be desired, although it's an all-around better camera. Unfortunately, at least on my camera, macro settings don't use flash, which means you need a lot of light or the picture will be, well, pathetic.
Here are some examples of the kind of pictures you can take:

Most of my flower shots are using macro:
