A visit to Central Park Zoo

This one's my favorite. We sat on a bench and this was the view. I think it looks kind of like fairyland would.

All pictures taken in August 2007 while on holiday in New York City.
Enjoy! And don't forget to let me know your favorite!

More Scotland

Portrait

Well, she said "You need to work on your portrait", so I did. I went for a more natural look, as you can see, and did not ask her to pose but to do things such as "pretend you're flying", "kick the ball", and so on.
I'm quite pleased with the way the pictures turned out. My favorite is the third, with her against the brick wall.

Waterfall in Scotland

Interestingly this picture, and several others, achieved a painting-like effect, if you know what I mean. (Believe me, I don't know how I did it)
See those two people up at the top? They made me stay in the bottom to take a picture of them at the top. Oh well. At least I took good pictures, right? Or, er, interesting looking.

Scotland, part I

Sweetheart Abbey

Gazing at the Loch Ness

(hm, no Nessie in sight, too bad, I could have made millions)

One of the greatest opportunities for any photographer, beginner or expert,
or somewhere in between; is to go on a trip. Landscapes and views in other places we are not used to inevitable capture our attention. It was the case with me and Scotland, as you can see, but actually that has happened to me in just about every place I've been. I hope you like the pics, please understand that at the time I'd only had the camera for a few months and didn't use it nearly as much as I do now. Or as well, for that matter.
Feel free to let me know your favorite (mine's the bridge one)!!

Light and clouds

The calm in the middle of the storm

The moon over the forest

A beautiful sunset
Fiery cloud
A rainbow (I'll admit I don't think there was really a rainbow, it was probably the way that I held my camera or the way the sun went through the trees... whatever it was, I like the final product).

If you take the time to look around, even from your bedroom window (most of these pictures, believe it or not, are taken from my window), you might see something beautiful.

Underexposure, part umpteenth

Yes, I know that I'm a little obsessed, but... underexposure, again! :D You will end up liking it, and you know it.
On a different note, one of my pictures is being made into a magazine cover!! Ok, ok, so it's for a friend's school project. But it's still exciting!

More Roses

In case you're wondering, this rose just keeps on popping up in my garden so I just keep on photographing it :). It's actually kind of uplifting to leave the house when it's so cold and see a bright pink rose right there, as if it didn't care that it's not really the time for it to bloom.

Vainilla

I love this cute little cat (I bet you can tell, judging by the amount of times he appears on here), even if he does this:

It's hard to believe that not so long ago, he was so tiny you could hold him with one hand, or put him in your pocket (I have a few pictures of that, too).
P.S. Doulos, who are you??

Little Vainilla

He's come a long way since he was this tiny...

Photographic Day

Today I went for a short walk with my camera and took several pictures. You should try it and see what there is around that you had never noticed, just like I did. At any rate, you will be practicing with your camera and getting a sense of which settings to use for everything.

Here are some of my best pictures:
