Beautiful Sky

Another good reason to keep your camera on hand:
you never really know when there's going to be a beautiful sky.

Flower

This flower in particular was very tiny, and I had to use macro to take it. I held it up against the sun to give it that nice background and light, because in photography it's all about the light.

Light and clouds

The calm in the middle of the storm

The moon over the forest

A beautiful sunset
Fiery cloud
A rainbow (I'll admit I don't think there was really a rainbow, it was probably the way that I held my camera or the way the sun went through the trees... whatever it was, I like the final product).

If you take the time to look around, even from your bedroom window (most of these pictures, believe it or not, are taken from my window), you might see something beautiful.

Photographic Day

Today I went for a short walk with my camera and took several pictures. You should try it and see what there is around that you had never noticed, just like I did. At any rate, you will be practicing with your camera and getting a sense of which settings to use for everything.

Here are some of my best pictures:

Sun

The sun is a beautiful subject that offers a vast range of options.

You can settle for a picture of the sun itself (left), or you could use its light to enhance other subjects, such as landscapes (below, right).
