A visit to Central Park Zoo

This one's my favorite. We sat on a bench and this was the view. I think it looks kind of like fairyland would.

All pictures taken in August 2007 while on holiday in New York City.
Enjoy! And don't forget to let me know your favorite!

More Scotland

Portrait

Well, she said "You need to work on your portrait", so I did. I went for a more natural look, as you can see, and did not ask her to pose but to do things such as "pretend you're flying", "kick the ball", and so on.
I'm quite pleased with the way the pictures turned out. My favorite is the third, with her against the brick wall.

Underexposure, part umpteenth

Yes, I know that I'm a little obsessed, but... underexposure, again! :D You will end up liking it, and you know it.
On a different note, one of my pictures is being made into a magazine cover!! Ok, ok, so it's for a friend's school project. But it's still exciting!

Photographic Day

Today I went for a short walk with my camera and took several pictures. You should try it and see what there is around that you had never noticed, just like I did. At any rate, you will be practicing with your camera and getting a sense of which settings to use for everything.

Here are some of my best pictures:

I just plane like the landscape

The first was taken on my trip to Belgium, in 2006, the second was taken on my trip back from Belgium.

(Underexposure again. I can't help it. I love it.)

The greatness of underexposure

The secret to making the colors in the sky stand out more than they actually do is underexpose. My camera is not so great so I can't underexpose much, but even that much, as you can see, can turn a picture like this:

Into this:

Pretty cool, huh?

Change is good

I have a weird fascination with the sun, flowers (particularly roses), and water of any kind. Once in a while, though, I get away from these subjects and take pictures of other things. You should not concentrate on only one thing, either, rather try to stretch yourself by looking for new, creative photos you can take.

Amazing pictures can come out!
